Automobile Adjustment: Why It Is So Important
Contrary to some people’s ideas, cars today are more durable and less maintainable than ever before. In the 1960s or 1970s, the car would be adjusted every 35k miles, which means that the technical union would check the ignition point, spark plug and plug of the car, set the ignition timing with a flash lamp, and reset the idle speed and mixer of the carburetor. In the 1950s, cars needed more maintenance. Before the oil filter and detergent oil came into the market, the engine of the car was quite worn and needed to be repaired within 9000 miles!
None of this applies. Now, it is not uncommon for drivers to drive 175k or 200k miles with proper car maintenance. Tuning usually does not require 80k or so, but that does not mean that it should be ignored.
So, what does “adjustment” mean now? What does it consist of?
New Plug
New Plug Wire
New air filter
New PCV valve
It may be a new oxygen sensor
Diagnose and check the engine computer to find fault codes
In terms of performance, drivability and emissions, rainfall adjustment is still very important, as always. It is worth mentioning that if plugs and plugs need to be replaced at the automobile maintenance station, poor performance, poor fuel economy, engine fire and unstable operation will be found. In addition, if the “engine check” light of the car is on and always on, it is an obvious sign… This means that the sensor is sending a reading to the engine computer somewhere under the hood. This interpretation records a “hard fault code” because it is too far away from the parameters to be fixed until the problem is resolved.
So… adjustment may be much less frequent than before, or may not take as many steps as before, but this does not mean they can sell!
